Fasteners (Standard Details - Fastener Placement)
Connection at truss peak for long-span truss.
Some of the reasons that TrusSteel trusses are so incredibly stiff:
Patented proprietary Double-ShearTM fasteners
Integral washers and proprietary Anti-BackoutTM locking thread
Various lengths for different connection needs
TrusSteel is the only CFS truss system in the industry using Double-Shear fastener technology. This patented technology provides a rigid, bolt-like connection at all chord / web intersections and is specially designed to resist movement and back-out. Color-coded, marked fasteners create the most dependable, easily inspected connection available for CFS materials.
Connection Hardware (Standard Details)
Rated uplift connection hardware.
Proprietary Connection Hardware means engineered values.
Variety of types for connections to steel, concrete, CFS, wood
Hardware available for both welded and mechanical connections
Uplift rated designs
Details showing the use and capacities of these connectors are available for viewing and download in the Details area.

ARC Curved Trusses

ARC™ Curved Trusses
TrusSteel is proud to introduce ARC™ curved trusses. ARC trusses offer smoothly-curved (not segmented) top and/or bottom chords that make these trusses the perfect solution for framing curved roofs, arched or barrel-vaulted canopies, or any design element with an arc or radius curve.
ARC trusses can clear span over 80 feet (depending upon configuration). Overhangs or cantilevers are no problem. For tall roofs, ARC trusses can work in piggyback truss situations. For long spans, ARC trusses can be fabricated and shipped in sections and spliced at the job site.
ARC trusses provide smoothly-curved chords, so you no longer need the clumsy and expensive overbuilding that is frequently required to create smooth curves on straight or segmented chord trusses. This feature can save quite a bit of time and money in the field, and means that you can start getting your roof installed in a more timely manner.
As is the case with all TrusSteel trusses, each ARC truss is pre-engineered to the exact specifications of your project. Truss installation layouts and complete, sealed shop drawings are available for each design. Engineered designs for permanent bracing and rafting lifts are available from local TrusSteel Authorized Fabricators.
Each ARC truss is fabricated in a shop environment, so you can expect consistent curves from truss to truss. And, the smooth curves of ARC trusses look great in designs where the truss is exposed to view in the finished building.
